My step dad always tells me that education always comes before your job. To get a business degree it takes an average of 64 college credits. Some of the classes that you have to take at Iowa State University you have to take are; accounting, business administration, business economics, finance, international business, management, marketing, and many more. The primary purpose of accounting is to provide relevant information to both internal users management, which I’m going into, and external users such as investors, creditors, government, and the general public. Business Economics is a major part of getting a business degree. It requires a total of 10 credits and 9 classes. The courses in finance is a big part of getting a business degree. This study is designed to provide a logical reasoning and background of financial management. International business develops an understanding of issues associated with international business applied for various areas of business. Management takes twelve credits and a total of four classes. These classes should teach me be even better at communicating in a team effort to get a job done. With the right education however, I can move into a position with a great salary and benefits.
